Nestled in the picturesque Versilia region of Tuscany, Villa Alpemare is not only home to Maestro Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica but also a space that epitomizes luxury, style, and fine Italian craftsmanship. At the heart of this splendid residence lies a kitchen that seamlessly combines functionality with refined elegance. Created by Officine Gullo, the kitchen is a testament to the art of fine living.

Designed by the architecture studio Barberini & Gunnell, the kitchen is conceived as the soul of the home - a welcoming, high-performance environment that serves as both a culinary space and a place for family connection. According to the designers, “The Officine Gullo kitchen was envisioned as a center of conviviality, reflecting the fusion of elegance, tradition, and innovation. The brand’s work aligns with our goal to preserve the villa’s historical essence while adding sophisticated, modern elements.”

A striking feature of the kitchen is its design from Officine Gullo’s Contemporanea collection, finished in a serene 'Natural Silk' cream-white hue, complemented by satin chrome details. The space’s well-thought-out layout is divided into multiple functional zones, each dedicated to enhancing the experience of preparing meals while maintaining an uncluttered and refined aesthetic.

The use of Taj Mahal quartzite for countertops and backsplashes provides a timeless sense of luxury, while oak dividers within drawers ensure optimal organization. The design also features sleek glass-fronted cabinets with illuminated interiors, providing both a scenic and functional addition to the space. As the designers note, “Every detail has been carefully selected to enhance both beauty and usability."

At the cooking area, a high pyramid-shaped professional hood crowns a sophisticated cooking station complete with a teppan-yaki plate, a gas cooktop, a wok, and an induction hob. A complete suite of ovens, including a steam oven and microwave, ensures all cooking needs are met with ease, while a central island with pull-out drawers offers additional convenience and storage.

The refrigeration and washing area further elevate the kitchen’s functionality with two refrigerators, a single-door freezer, and integrated dishwashers, all seamlessly integrated into the design. Beneath the countertops, the under-mount sink adds a touch of refinement to the clean, modern aesthetic.

The fusion of traditional Florentine craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology is evident in every corner of this kitchen. “The collaboration with Officine Gullo has been a meeting of excellence and artistic vision,” say the designers, highlighting the brand’s ability to marry artisanal skills with modern-day needs.

The kitchen at Villa Alpemare is more than just a place to cook - it is a manifestation of Andrea Bocelli’s deep-rooted connection to Italian tradition, as well as a space that reflects the Bocelli family's refined taste. With its harmonious blend of design, luxury, and practicality, the kitchen stands as a true tribute to the artistry of Italian craftsmanship, offering a perfect environment for both intimate family gatherings and grand celebrations.
