For the next instalment in this ongoing series, the H&G team dug deep in their saved archives to share designs, people and interior pieces that inspire them. With so much design inspiration and limited characters, here are our favourite posts of the week. We hope it inspires you too and don’t forget to follow our Instagram account.

Dreamy, futuristic motorhomes

“I'll be honest, I'm not a camping or RV fan. I'd much rather enjoy my trip in the comfort of an air-conditioned hotel room. Yet, with these AI-rendered motorhomes, it seems like I've found a way to compromise. These otherworldly creations were conceived by Ulises (@ulises.ai), a design studio crafting ‘near-future architecture’. I probably wouldn't call it near-future, but rather retro-futurism – it's a mix of 50s Americana and the Jetsons, with a dollop of art deco. Obviously, this type of vehicle could never be realised, but then again, never say never." - Walter Hayward, Managing & Syndication Editor

Exquisite monochrome spaces

“My recent appreciation for monochromatic spaces is no secret. The striking appearance of a space splashed with colour from floor to ceiling has a hold on me that I just can't explain. This cobalt blue kitchen cabinetry along with the coloured floor and archway make this 90m2 apartment in Milan feel spacious and relaxed. I am in love and in awe of the way colour is able to transform a space into something extraordinary.” - Yashna Balwanth, Acting Editor-in-chief

Warm and comfortable spaces

“Paired-back interior design can exude warmth and comfort. I love how MNMA Studio captures that idea in this beautiful space. Without any distractions, I feel the natural textures have space to breathe and really come to life.” Edwain Steenkamp, Decor & Features Editor

A simpler time

“This bedroom, with floral accents all around, calls to me. As a highly stressed, sleep-deprived postgraduate student, I often find myself longing for life to be simpler. I want to wake up with the calm chirping of birds and make myself a cup of tea before rushing into the tidal wave that is academic writing and Harvard referencing. The floral wallpaper is simple, welcoming, and appealing. I could see myself sitting atop this beautiful bed and reading for pleasure and not just necessity for once.” - Kauthar Gool, Digital Editor

Creating art out of the unexpected

“I absolutely love art, and even better when it’s everyday or found objects! That's exactly what this artist is all about – creating beauty out of the unexpected.” - Taahirah Luddy, Junior Graphic Designer
