Let’s be honest, gift-giving happens at all times of the year. If you don’t celebrate Christmas or Valentine’s Day, there are birthdays, weddings and baby showers to buy gifts for. Now, once you’ve found the perfect gift to give, it’s time to wrap it up and make it look good. However, if your skills leave much to be desired - here’s some helpful tips to get your gifts looking beautiful.

No cellotape? No problem. One of the easiest ways to wrap up a present is to use fabric offcuts you have around or use a scarf. If this seems familiar, you’ve probably heard about the Japanese wrapping cloths called furoshiki. The square shaped cloth is used to wrap up gifts or items and can be reused by the receiver.
Folded over and over

Have you seen those cool pleated wrapped gifts? It’s such a unique way to utilise wrapping paper to make it multi-functional. You can pop a card or two in the pleated folds or just add a little bit of greenery to the gift, so it stays in place.
Size doesn’t matter
Oddly shaped gifts can be a pain, but before you reach for a gift bag - there are ways to work around shape and size. Often it just means working around your material or wrapping paper and using some additional time to create something that fits.
