Situated in the heart of the picturesque Constantia wine valley, Steenberg is undoubtedly one of the Cape’s crowning jewels for wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. As such, the wine farm has been drawing visitors from around the world for over three centuries. In recent years though, Steenberg has also become a premiere dining and conferencing destination. Its newly reimagined spaces are without a doubt, spectacular, and place Steenberg on any traveller’s to-do list this year.
Tryn, the celebrated restaurant on Steenberg boasts two new refurbished terraces overlooking lush lawns and the views beyond. Custom-made furniture and other carefully curated decor breathe new life into the idea of luxurious dining. As always, the menu showcases the finest in ingredients and culinary flair, with a wine menu that will please even the most discerning epicure.
Bistro Sixteen82, the other restaurant on the estate, has also seen some changes. It now also boasts a newly refurbished terrace used for conferencing and events. Here, on the upper level, no detail was overlooked as the Steenberg team introduced new wooden flooring, and an array of colours that brings new life to the space. To maximise on the breathtaking space, architectural changes were also made to allow visitors to take in the views, while moving and mingling without obstruction.
Lastly, the new refurbished Hotel Terrace, adjoining the Cape Dutch-style reception area allows visitors to take in the views, while enjoying every comfort that the decor, textiles, and finishings provide.
“We have taken great pride in supporting the outcome of these refurbishment projects,” says Managing Director of Steenberg Hospitality, Catherine Schulze. “It is rewarding to see the community and guests enjoying the new spaces and bringing them to life! Their satisfaction makes our efforts all the more worthwhile.”
