A video tour of Angelina Jolie's Los Angeles house

Since the pandemic began, it has afforded us the chance to see inside celebrity's homes like never before. On Zoom calls, via photoshoots or simply on social media, homes have become the background for daily life like never before, as evidenced by British Vogue's March cover shoot with Angelina Jolie, shot at her Loz Feliz estate. The sprawling house is the home for Jolie and her six children, and certainly has ample space for the brood. “I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away,” Jolie told British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful in the accompanying interview.
The estate agent who sold Angelina Jolie the Beaux-Arts mansion in 2017 still has a house tour live on YouTube, giving a very real sense of the scale of the property. While we may not be able to see how Jolie has decorated it, it gives a tantalising view into the property and its commanding views of the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Observatory.
These hills serve as a backdrop to the six-bedroom, ten-bathroom house, which used to belong to another legend of the film industry, Cecil B Demille. It has all the amenities you might expect to find in such a property; a wine cellar, tea house, pool house, multiple bedrooms, bookshelf-lined library, garden room, private terrace off the master bedroom and ample gardens. It is a two acre plot and as Jolie told Vogue, “I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time.”
