Wanda-Michell Hadlow, Managing Creative Director of Wanda-Michelle Interiors (WMI), recently gave SABC3’s Top Billing an exclusive tour of their latest project in Hyde Park.
The edgy and modern home has been entirely curated by WMI and features incredible South African artwork and bespoke furniture pieces. Bold tones of black, gold and vibrant colours throughout the home reflect the home owner’s personality and appreciation for comfort and luxury.
‘It’s really important in curating art into a home, that you are still reflecting something of the client’s personality,’ says Hadlow.
Mirrors in the smaller living areas of the Hyde Park residence open the space up, making it feel less restrictive, while circular shapes in the form of artwork and sculptures soften the home’s square structure.
The house also features an elevator that leads downstairs to a luxurious bar, home theatre and further down, basement parking. A pool, water features, a sculpture by Cecilia Wilmot Ballam and an upstairs deck complete the luxury home’s aesthetic.
Take a look at Top Billing’s interview with Wanda-Michelle Hadlow and the beautiful, transitional space below.
