SMITH

presents its summer show, Salad, a selection of works celebrating its busiest year to date, covering seven solo shows, five group shows and three major fairs.

The exhibition includes contributions from 28 artists, including choice pieces from all seven of the artists who staged solo shows at the gallery in 2017.

Selected works from the SMITH-curated concept show Shall We Move On? by creative collective

– which won a special projects booth at this year’s FNB Joburg Art Fair – will also be on show.

“Salad is a collection of works we have admired throughout [the] year. This is a snapshot of where these artists are in their careers. SMITH has had an incredible year with many of our artists opening their second solo exhibitions. As a young gallery it is exciting to watch artists grow and evolve with us,” says gallery director Candace Marshall-Smith.

Salad is on show from 14 December 2017 – 20 January 2018.
