The show, which explores the feminine form through a collection of oil paintings, highlights the vulnerability and strength intrinsic to women and serves as a reminder for self-love and respect. Celebrated internationally and locally, artist Jaret Loggenberg will showcase her first solo exhibition in South Africa, titled ‘Gratitude,’ at Avontuur Estate in Somerset West from 30 March to 2 April 2023.

Drawing inspiration from photographs, Loggenberg uses warm natural colours and bold brushstrokes to capture the powerful nature of women. The exhibition includes female portraits as the main focus, as well as nude studies that showcase the ephemeral quality of women’s lives through emotive facial expressions and figures.

“This collection is very close to my heart and my main aim is to inspire the viewer and sow seeds of hope, love, and kindness,” says Loggenberg. “God made us all unique with different talents and gifts, and I hope my work will remind viewers that they are special and that they can make a personal connection with an artwork that speaks to them.”

The public is invited to attend the opening of ‘Gratitude’ on Thursday, 30 March at 11am. Come experience the beauty and soulful journey of discovering the powerful nature of women through Jaret Loggenberg’s work.
