The brand has evolved significantly from their origins in statement luxury knitwear to becoming a distinguished lifestyle brand. Embracing the universal appeal of vibrant African motifs, the brands expansion into homeware, leverages their distinctive graphic designs to adorn not just clothing but interior spaces too.

The collaboration between MaXhosa Africa and Tile Africa marks a milestone in merging African creativity with commercial design expertise. Named after the Xhosa word for bloom or blossom, the debut collection, Ntyatyambo, premiered at this year’s Decorex in Cape Town. It featured modular mosaic designs inspired by MaXhosa Africa’s geometric patterns, available in three captivating colorways: Nude, Mono, and Luxe. Each design pays homage to the brand’s textile roots, mirroring the rich yarn hues used in their pieces.

Highlighting a key feature of the collection, the Bespoke line offers customization options, allowing homeowners to personalise their spaces by selecting from a palette of 14 colours. This flexibility not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also encourages creative expression within interior design.

Laduma Ngxokolo, founder of MaXhosa Africa, expressed his excitement about exploring new creative avenues through this collaboration. He envisions the collection resonating not only locally but also on an international scale, celebrating African design heritage in homes worldwide.

Following its successful debut, the Ntyatyambo collection will be available at Tile Africa flagship stores across the country. This launch marks the beginning of a journey towards expanding the range into various applications, promising continued innovation and inspiration in the world of interior design.
