Thanks to over-the-top budgets and access to the best florists and event planners, celebrity weddings are a constant source of design inspiration at AD. And though Ariana Grande’s recent nuptials were small and intimate, her soirée might just take the cake.
The “34+35” singer wed a real estate agent named Dalton Gomez (the pair began dating in January of 2020) at her Montecito, California, home on May 15. As much is confirmed by Vogue, and from the pictures published by the outlet this week, it appears that the home in question is the same one Grande purchased from serial seller Ellen DeGeneres for $6.75 million in June of 2020.
The elegant Tudor-style home has two bedrooms and two full and two half bathrooms and comes with a fantastically interesting backstory. It was built in England in the 1700s as two separate barns, and later brought to California and reconstructed into one home with two wings linked by an orangery. (It even has two kitchens, which must have been helpful for hosting an event.)
Tudor-style details are everywhere in the home, from the white walls with exposed wooden beams to the brick fireplaces and leaded windows. All of it made for an extremely elegant wedding backdrop, as evidenced by the images shared by Grande of herself and Gomez kissing in front of a white stone fireplace with wooden beams in the wall on top of it. Whimsical flowers dangle from the ceiling above them and simple white candles rest on the floor.
Vogue reports that the ceremony took place in front of fewer than 20 guests, that the bride wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown, and that Grande and Gomez decided early on that the wedding would take place at home.
