For the next instalment in this ongoing series, the H&G team dug deep in their saved archives to share designs, people and interior pieces that inspire them. With so much design inspiration and limited characters, here are our favourite posts of the week. We hope it gives you all the inspo you need. Palatial splendour

My appreciation for bold colour and beautiful patterns continues to grow the more I discover about their origins. Chehel Sotoun Palace and its royal garden are one of the ancient sites of Isfahan. The construction and establishment of this admirable palace date back to the Safavid Era in 1588. - Yashna Balwanth, Acting Editor-in-chief

Exquisite green Marble

I’m not the biggest fan of marble these days but I really love how it has been incorporated into this kitchen with this green island and the oak finishes. It’s such a refreshing take. - Lesley Mathys, Group Managing & Syndication Editor

Broken Things

I'm loving Spanish artist Livia Marin's latest ceramics collection called ‘Broken Things’ or ‘Cosas Rotas’. They're a playful take on broken stoneware – instead of shattering, let them melt. It challenges our perception of reality. Don't ask me where to put it, though. - Walter Hayward, Managing & Syndication Editor

Pop of pink

I have an unhealthy obsession with the colour pink. To me, this colour, and the varying shades it comes in, represents wonderful, soft feminity and girlish warmth. This vanity attracted me because of the palettes used, and the gorgeously grandiose mirror that reminded me of the Evil Queen in Snow White. - Kauthar Gool, Digital Editor

GRAND STATURE

South African artist Alex Coetzee is a master of his craft. While his work is unapologetically bold, each piece seems to embody a sense of deep quietness. I admire his work greatly. If I had my way, his art would fill my home, floor to ceiling, wall to wall. - Edwain Steenkamp, Decor & Features Editor
