“I think people associate minimalism with the absence of everything. For us it is about making grand statements, just fewer of them.”, says Noa Santos, founder of architecture and design studio NAINOA.
Using their selected holy trinity of materials - timber, travertine and stone, NAINO designed this capacious yet serene Southern California home by incorporating texture into the materials they used in order to add greater visual dimensionality. The home’s aesthetic draws largely on Mediterranean design, with walls finished in clay plaster and natural materials.
