In the village of Vallabrègues in Provence, Atelier Vime, owned by Benoit Rauzy and Anthony Watson, is reviving the local wicker culture in a contemporary way. The pair, who have lovingly restored an 18th-century hôtel particulier and former wicker workshop in the village, have brought their visions to life with the help of designer Raphaëlle Hanley and local craftsmen. It is here that they create wicker and rattan furniture and have formed an archive of antique wicker pieces, which together have earned them a loyal following in the design world.
