Design Joburg is back for its third edition featuring Rooms on View and promises to flip the traditional notion of a décor and design exhibition on its head.

South Africa’s best designers, architects and style shapers and influences will transform the Sandton Convention Centre into Africa’s hotspot for the most innovative and covetable interiors, from 24 – 26 May 2019.

Here are 5 great reasons to visit the show this year:

For insights from industry experts

The Kohler Theatre is where the main action is going to be. Designed by the show’s creative directors and flooring brand Belgotex, the auditiorium space will host internationally acclaimed designers Michael Anastassiades and Yinka Ilori on the show's opening day.

For the local design

Proudly brimming with local design, the show’s two major hives of homegrown talent include the SPA ZAR and SA Furniture Collective features. The highly anticipated SPA ZAR feature, in conjunction with SA Tourism, will present more than thirty hand-picked creatives from multiple disciplines, both established and emerging, who will show off their wares in style within cubes curated by Source IBA’s Mardre Meyer.
