The thought of touching your feet to the bathroom’s cold floor in winter might not feel ideal; fortunately, there are ways to cut the chill. Follow these tips on how to keep your bathroom warm this winter.

Use warmer tones

Add warm colours to your bathroom has the ability to lift its mood. It doesn’t have to be a permanent colour change, you can add warming touches such as a set of fluffy towels or rugs in earthy tones or deep winter shades.

Let there be light

Natural light is the simplest ‘lift’ you can give any room. If your bathroom has big windows, open them up. Or opt for soft candlelight, a floating candle in a glass bowl or scented ones with warming essences such as cinnamon.

Introduce heat lamps

Switching on a heat lamp gives you the benefit of both light and warmth. Infra-red heating technology offers long-lasting lamps that provide instantaneous heating and are splash proof. Consult with an electrician before installing a heat lamp in your bathroom to ensure a safe installation.

A case of cold feet

Place a few thick rugs in front of the sink, toilet, and shower. Not only will they keep your feet warm, but they will also lend a soft, inviting feel to the bathroom because there is nothing worse than touching cold tiles with warm feet.
