After a quick courtship and engagement and only a few months of planning, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas finally held their wedding over the weekend—and, by the looks of the extensive social media documentation, it certainly did not disappoint. With two wedding ceremonies—one a Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas’s pastor father, and the other a traditional Hindu ceremony—and an entire four days’ worth of wedding festivities, the excited newlyweds posted up at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace for the weekend, where they celebrated their love in a series of colourful, glamorous, celeb-studded parties. In the days leading up to the weekend, Chopra and Jonas prepared for their nuptials with a Mehendi ceremony, an afternoon gathering during which all of the women in the bride's and groom’s families, as well as close female friends, gathered together while Chopra had elaborate henna designs applied to her hands and feet. Chopra and Jonas opted to keep their event co-ed, however, and Jonas was photographed being lifted on the shoulders of several male wedding guests.

“One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures,” Chopra wrote alongside a series of photos from the event. “And so, planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part of the pre-wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi.” In one photo from the series, Chopra showed off her multihued organdy ensemble by twirling in one of the palace’s many elaborate courtyards.

On Friday night, the couple kicked off the weekend with a sangeet, an over-the-top party that raged well into the night and involved singing and dancing performances by family and friends. “Priyanka and I have been looking forward to the Sangeet (the musical evening and a pre-wedding ritual) to see what each side of the family had put together,” Jonas captioned a series of photos and videos on his Instagram. “We’re both so full of gratitude for the effort and the love put forth by both families. What an amazing start to a lifetime!!”

Jonas also shared a rare photo of himself with all three of his brothers—Kevin, Joe, and Frankie—posing in the marble-lined halls of the palace, decked out in handsome sherwanis. Jonas’ was a custom-made midnight-blue piece by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

According to People magazine, the two families performed back to back, with the Jonas brothers singing together at one point, and Chopra performing a dance with her mother, Madhu Chopra; Joe’s fiancee Sophie Turner; and Jonas’s Kingdom costar Jonathan Tucker. Chopra’s glittery sari was similarly designed by Khosla. “Millions of fairy light and mirror installations lit up the Umaid Bhavan grounds to create an enchanted wonderland,” the designer captioned a video montage of the evening. “It was as if the sky and earth danced as one to celebrate this union.”

On Saturday, the pair married in the Umaid Bhawan Palace with Jonas’ father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr., officiating the Christian ceremony. Both Chopra and Jonas wore custom Ralph Lauren designs for the affair and exchanged bands by famed jeweler Chopard. Their evening reception included a massive firework display over the palace, seemingly visible for miles.
Wedding guests ranging from Ralph Lauren to billionaire Mukesh Ambani w ere in attendance, as were Hollywood stars such as Dwayne Johnson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Kelly Ripa. On Sunday, the couple capped off their epic weekend with a traditional Hindu ceremony, preceded by a “team bride vs. team groom” cricket match that likely took place on the Taj heritage hotel’s more than 26 acres of landscaped gardens and lawns. The evening closed out with dancing late into the night to Bollywood songs, including some of Chopra’s own biggest hits. “People will need vacations after this wedding,” Chopra previously joked to Vogue . We expect Jonas and Chopra to take an equally relaxing breather after these nonstop nuptials.
